Overview
Albertasno Wellbeing is just me (oh – and the fur kids that are usually asleep around my feet during production times!). Each process is done by hand – weighing, melting, pouring and even sticking the labels on the tins. And because of this there may be a slight variance in appearance, for example the flowers may be formed differently on the top of the candle. Its always the same ratio of wax to oil though.
Essential oils
Essential oils are a popular topic for us humans, with aromatherapy often advised to help with our mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. But the essential oil blends we use on ourselves may not produce the same reaction for our dogs and in fact, some oils can be harmful. Especially those with strong chemical fragrances, such as those containing phthalates.
Examples of essential oils which may be harmful to our dogs are:
- TeaTree / Melaleuca
- Citrus (d-limonene)
- Wintergreen
- Clove
- Pine
- Sweet Birch
- Pennyroyal
- Ylang Ylang
- Cinnamon
During my studies in Canine Nutrition I was required to learn about canine anatomy and physiology. One of the many facts retained is that dogs have roughly forty times more smell sensitive receptors to that of humans and a fact that we may wish to consider when deciding what products we use around our dogs.
The essential oils and wax used in products made by Albertasno Wellbeing have taken all of the above information into consideration. They are produced for the benefit of us humans but with the consideration of the effect on our dogs.

Ingredients
I have spent time in researching suppliers, striving for ethically sourced, safe and vegan-friendly ingredients.
Each adhere to the rigid European Safety Guidelines. I hold safety datasheets for each oil used (Fragrances listed above). Please email if you would like a copy.
Wax
100% Soy Wax.
Soy wax is a hydrogenated form of soybean oil extracted from soybean plants. It is biodegradable and can be easily disposed of and easily cleaned with detergent and water. Soy wax gives a creamy appearance before and after burning and has a maximum fragrance load of 8%.
Soy wax has been chosen over that of paraffin wax as the paraffin wax releases toxic benzene and toluene when burned.
Wick
Made from pure cotton and thin paper filaments.
Candle burn time
20+ hours
Wax Melts
Approximately 10g per wax melt
Consumables / Packaging
I have done my utmost to source recyclable and reusable containers and packaging.
Both the tins and bags can be washed and reused in alternative ways. (And in time I’ll create additional products that can utilise these). I’ve made the labels in a form that are easily removable too.
